About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop crane layouts and rigging drawings for lift plans using custom lifting tools
  • Create layout drawings for heavy machinery moving projects utilizing gantries, slide systems, and modular trailers
  • Create drawings for heavy transportation projects including over-the-road hauling and barge roll-on/roll-off
  • Use AutoCAD, Inventor, Mathcad, RISA, and engineering spreadsheets to develop heavy lift and transport solutions
  • Perform field walk-down assessments to develop equipment lists and technical sketches for bids
  • Provide technical support to Project Managers and Superintendents on job sites
  • Design custom lifting or support tools per AISC and ASME standards
  • Serve as field technical liaison for complex projects, performing risk management and safety evaluations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Strong communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
