About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop crane layouts and rigging drawings for lift plans using custom lifting tools
- Create layout drawings for heavy machinery moving projects utilizing gantries, slide systems, and modular trailers
- Create drawings for heavy transportation projects including over-the-road hauling and barge roll-on/roll-off
- Use AutoCAD, Inventor, Mathcad, RISA, and engineering spreadsheets to develop heavy lift and transport solutions
- Perform field walk-down assessments to develop equipment lists and technical sketches for bids
- Provide technical support to Project Managers and Superintendents on job sites
- Design custom lifting or support tools per AISC and ASME standards
- Serve as field technical liaison for complex projects, performing risk management and safety evaluations
Preferred Qualifications
- Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong communication, mathematical, and reasoning skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
