Brake System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze external requirements and internal rolling stock requirements to define project-specific brake system architecture
• Act as the technical interface for project management, purchasing, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams
• Lead engineering teams across mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and software domains
• Perform engineering calculations including pneumatic system and component sizing
• Prepare engineering non-recurring cost (NRC) estimates and contribute to technical risk assessments
• Define test and validation strategies and prepare test specifications
• Support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting at test tracks or customer sites

Requirements

• Engineering degree in automatics, electronics, electricity, or mechanics
• Solid knowledge in brakes
• Strong experience in the railway industry
• Knowledge of validation processes and tools
• Familiarity with measuring equipment and test benches
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Swedish language
