BPA Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for BioNTech China, focusing on pharmaceutical operations.
• Analyze financial results, variances, and business drivers to provide actionable insights to management.
• Plan and forecast local R&D activities, including GDO functions and local CRO activities.
• Track actual costs and monitor budgets for local spend, specifically for R&D and clinical operations.
• Act as a local finance business partner to the country head, providing guidance for strategic decision-making.
• Support SAP implementation, upgrades, and process optimization projects within the finance function.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive alignment on financial targets, KPIs, and resource allocation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, business planning, or controlling.
• Mandatory experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
• Proficiency in SAP (preferably SAP FICO or SAP S/4HANA).
• Fluency in both English and Mandarin.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting R&D or clinical operations.
• Experience working with global teams in a multinational setting.
• Proven track record in driving automation and digitalization initiatives in finance.
