About the role

Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
  • Verify receipts and process bank payments via cash or cheque
  • Monitor office expenses and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices
  • Assist in the handling and preparation of tax forms
  • Process and maintain accurate payroll records
  • Verify the accuracy of all transactions and ensure correct ledger entry
  • Develop daily and monthly financial and statistical reports for management

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a bookkeeper
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Experience with data entry and high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office and popular accounting software
  • In-depth knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures, best practices, and terminology
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
