About the role
Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
- Verify receipts and process bank payments via cash or cheque
- Monitor office expenses and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices
- Assist in the handling and preparation of tax forms
- Process and maintain accurate payroll records
- Verify the accuracy of all transactions and ensure correct ledger entry
- Develop daily and monthly financial and statistical reports for management
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a bookkeeper
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field from an accredited institution
- Proficiency in MS Office and popular accounting software
- Strong data entry skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- In-depth knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures, best practices, and terminology
