About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the management team and real estate attorney with daily bookkeeping tasks
- Manage payroll, billing, and month/year-end closing procedures
- Perform escrow and trust accounting, including 3-way reconciliation
- Prepare accurate financial reports
- Maintain detailed records related to real estate transactions and title insurance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field
- 1-2 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and MS Office, specifically Excel
- Strong understanding of payroll management and financial reporting
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a legal setting
- Experience with real estate transactions and title insurance
- Specialized knowledge in fiduciary accounting and escrow/trust management
