About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the delivery of conference and event services, including room bookings and audio-visual requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing professional support throughout the event lifecycle
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth event operations
- Assist in developing event proposals, quotes, and contracts in accordance with University standards
- Oversee venue setup, event execution, and teardown to ensure high service standards and client satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records and generate post-event reports
- Support the team with day-to-day event and meeting room duties
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of experience in a hospitality, hotel, or convention centre environment
- Experience with room booking software (e.g., EMS)
- Knowledge of basic audio-visual terminology and equipment recommendations
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to handle multiple duties, deadlines, and schedules simultaneously under minimal supervision
