Responsibilities

• Provide the final quality check on every AI-generated book before it leaves the platform
• Add editorial comments and notes throughout the manuscript including copyediting, line editing, and structural feedback
• Help refine the current product
• Engage in light back-and-forth with authors to resolve queries, clarify intent, and tighten the manuscript
• Serve as the human-editorial escalation layer for manuscripts requiring a professional editor's eye
• For Senior Editor roles: Help define editorial standards, train the team, and shape how editorial scales with platform volume

Requirements

• Experience in a reputable trade or academic publishing house
• Solid background in copyediting, line editing, and structural feedback
• Strong communicator able to handle author communication professionally and tactfully

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience leading or managing a team of editors
