Boiler/Hydronics Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections on boilers, hydronic systems, cooling towers, pumps, and other HVAC equipment
• Perform electrical and mechanical inspections to ensure peak performance
• Interpret engineering drawings regarding system layout and operation
• Advise owners on preventive maintenance and necessary corrective actions
• Suggest additional beneficial services to customers
• Submit required paperwork to the Service Coordinator daily
• Work in a safe manner and adhere to all safety measures
• Maintain flexibility for overtime and weekend work as required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Current Boiler certification and OSHA 10 Training
• 1-5 years of experience as a Service Technician in a commercial environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld computers (Smartphone, iPad)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds frequently
• Ability to work in diverse conditions including noisy rooms, extreme weather, and elevated heights

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical knowledge and EPA Certification (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer)
• 2-3 years of specific boiler maintenance and repair experience
