Boiler Room Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, service, and maintain boiler room equipment and utilities to support manufacturing processes.
• Monitor and adjust boiler utilities to improve equipment efficiency and implement corrective actions.
• Perform routine cleaning, housekeeping, and non-routine maintenance in adherence to safety, environmental, and quality policies.
• Support manufacturing operations by developing and monitoring metrics for utility processes and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Execute preventive maintenance work orders and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment startup and shutdown.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including electronic logbooks and computer transactions.
• Manage spare parts inventory and operate forklifts or pallet jacks as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, secondary education, or equivalent.
• Technical certification or relevant trade experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a regulated and automated manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of Production Automation Systems such as Wonderware, MES, or SAP.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including continuous lifting of 5-25 lbs and frequent lifting of 25-50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a Pharmaceutical or GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment.
