Boiler Operator

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on boiler systems, including hydronic, hot water heaters, and steam HVAC systems
• Maintain boiler systems in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code provisions
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair station boilers, heat exchangers, pumps, controls, air handlers, and zone valves
• Inspect glycol and steam lines for damage and monitor fuel lines and air adjustments
• Commission and startup new equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of hours worked, tasks performed, and materials used
• Respond to emergency service calls during and outside of normal working hours
• Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and identify safety hazards

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 4 years of experience in boiler operation and hydronic/steam HVAC systems maintenance
• Documented experience in the maintenance of commercial, residential, or industrial boiler systems
• Valid Oregon Boiler License
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate in Steam Boiler Operation/Maintenance
• ASSE 19210 hydronic Heating & Cooling Certificate
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
