Body Shop Technician

Responsibilities

• Execute precise collision repairs in accordance with estimation sheets and manufacturer guidelines
• Inspect delivered parts against estimates to verify accuracy and completeness
• Prepare vehicle surfaces, structures, and panels for body and refinishing work
• Identify and report hidden damage or necessary supplemental repairs to management
• Maintain shop tools, machinery, and specialty repair equipment in clean and organized condition
• Adhere to all safety standards, including the use of required PPE and respirators
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations regarding hazardous waste and OSHA guidelines
• Collaborate with painters and other technicians to optimize shop workflow

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of professional automotive or commercial collision repair experience
• Proficiency in general collision repair techniques
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to operate heavy shop machinery and lift repair materials
• Ability to stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Experience with structural frame correction or refinishing prep
