About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-person Independent Medical Exams (IMEs) at various clinic locations across Washington
- Review all medical records and perform physical examinations of patients
- Complete detailed reports addressing clinical questions and diagnoses utilizing AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, Sixth Edition
- Return completed reports promptly on or before the specified due date and time
- Perform peer-to-peer calls as required to obtain necessary clinical clarifications
- Provide addenda as required to address quality assurance or regulatory issues
Requirements
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Active medical practice and valid Washington state medical license
- Ability to conduct in-person physical examinations
- Proficiency in reviewing medical records and addressing complex clinical concerns
