BNG Consultant

Responsibilities

• Deliver ecological Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) inputs for internal and external clients
• Produce and technically review biodiversity assessments, including BNG feasibility reports, Habitat Management Plans, and Welsh NBB assessments
• Collaborate with the BNG lead to develop the company's BNG vision across the UK
• Assist in delivering training to upskill ecologists across the business
• Support consultation and engagement with clients, planning authorities, and statutory bodies
• Work with digital and data teams to develop digital biodiversity tools
• Contribute to bids and tenders for ecological and BNG services

Requirements

• Degree (or equivalent) in ecology or an associated subject
• Membership of an appropriate professional institution (e.g., CIEEM)
• Excellent knowledge of relevant biodiversity legislation and policy
• Proven experience delivering biodiversity assessments
• Experience interpreting UKHabs data and conducting Habitat Condition Assessments
• Experience reviewing technical work and supporting team members
