About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automation programming, design graphics, and handle commissioning for new construction projects
- Perform low voltage electrical work including maintenance, installation, and repair of motor control centers, switches, and panelboard components
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware, sensors, and automation controllers
- Provide onsite estimating and expert recommendations for automation solutions
- Support the HVAC service team with control installations in commercial buildings
- Manage shut-down, lock-out, and start-up of automation systems
Requirements
- 3+ years of HVAC automation experience in the ICI sector
- N4 certification
- Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering certificate recommended
- Clean and valid Class 5 AB Driver’s License
- Ability to travel to various sites and work occasional overtime
- Physical ability to lift up to 30 kg, work at heights, and work in confined spaces
- Eligibility and willingness to join Local Union 424
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JCI FX and Honeywell BAS
- 3+ years of estimating experience
