About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of PLC/SCADA-based automation systems and associated software solutions.
- Oversee system architecture planning, including the integration of PLCs, SCADA platforms, and networking components.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams within the software development department.
- Design and implement secure industrial networks, including the configuration of switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Develop and validate control algorithms, HMI configurations, and network infrastructure designs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, thermal, and cybersecurity solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and according to technical specifications.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Building Management Systems (BMS) and industrial automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, specifically focusing on BMS and PLC.
- Strong expertise in industrial automation platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, or Schneider.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols including BACnet, TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus.
- In-depth knowledge of systems such as Ignition, Tridium Niagara, Schneider EcoStruxure, or Honeywell Forge.
- Familiarity with industry standards including National Electrical Code, NERC, IEEE, OSHA, and NFPA.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex technical projects.
- Ability to work onsite in Pelzer, SC, and willingness to travel internationally if required.
