BMS Hardware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead global Building Management System (BMS) detailed engineering projects from the India Engineering center.
• Review MEP drawings to identify HVAC equipment, dampers, and sensors.
• Review control specifications and sequences of operations.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOM) and select appropriate sensors, control valves, dampers, and controllers.
• Prepare I/O summaries and BMS network architectures.
• Perform software programming for supervisory and DDC level controllers.
• Prepare test plans, perform simulations, and deliver commissioning packages to the field.
• Ensure quality assurance and defect-free delivery of hardware and software packages.

Requirements

• BE/ME in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (Chilled Water, Cooling Towers, AHUs, FCUs, VAV systems, etc.).
• Deep understanding of BMS architecture, including workstations, supervisory controllers, and DDC controllers.
• Proficiency in network protocols such as BACNet, LON, Modbus, and OPC.
• Hands-on proficiency in wiring starters, field devices, safety interlocks, and panels.
• Experience in engineering, installing, and commissioning HVAC & BMS systems for large-scale infrastructure (airports, hospitals, commercial buildings).
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in the Building Automation Industry or BMS Design Engineering.
• Experience in Industrial Automation, specifically PLC programming or SCADA.
