BMS Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of electrical architecture for high-voltage battery systems, including BMS and CMU
• Translate customer and system-level requirements into feasible design and software solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including BMS HW, BMS SW, FuSa, Systems, and Testing
• Participate in RFQ/RFI processes by preparing technical documentation
• Support BMS hardware integration and communication interfaces such as CAN/LIN
• Contribute to system validation, electrical testing, and troubleshooting
• Support DFMEA, DVP&R planning, and functional safety efforts aligned with ISO 26262
• Provide onsite OEM support for flashing, initial integration, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with global teams and travel to suppliers or OEM sites

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in the battery or EV industry
• Exposure to high-voltage battery systems (400–1000V)
• Understanding of BMS, CAN communication, and automotive diagnostic protocols
• Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and automotive product development cycles
• Understanding of safety standards such as ISO 26262
• Willingness to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a BMS hardware or software role
• Bilingual in Chinese
