BMC Helix ITSM Senior Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and customize BMC Helix ITSM & ITAM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request, CMDB, Asset Management, and Discovery.
• Develop and modify forms, workflows, business rules, data models, and UI components within BMC Helix Innovation Studio and BMC Helix AR System.
• Design Agentic AI use cases, including prompt designing and API integrations leveraging the Helix GPT module.
• Implement automation, orchestration, and integrations across ITSM/ITAM processes using Python.
• Build and enhance CMDB data models, reconciliation rules, normalization, and asset lifecycle workflows.
• Create APIs, data exchange procedures, and connectors for external platforms using REST/SOAP.
• Participate in the development of use cases and provide product demonstrations to customers.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in ITSM/ITAM development and administration.
• Strong, hands-on experience with BMC Helix (Remedy, Innovation Studio, Smart IT, Digital Workplace).
• Proficiency in Python programming for automation, workflow logic, and data manipulation.
• In-depth knowledge of ITIL frameworks and practical implementation in enterprise environments.
• Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations, scripting, and system integration architecture.
• Knowledge of emerging agentic AI models, frameworks, and toolkits.
• Exposure to Cloud technologies and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 certification.
• Experience with complementary asset management platforms such as Flexera or ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus.
