About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BMC software solutions including sensor monitors and event log WebUI
- Implement firmware functions to communicate with peripherals via SPI, I2C, and UART per protocol specifications
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high quality BMC software
- Develop and maintain design specifications, user manuals, and release notes
Requirements
- BMC product/stack software solution experience
- Understanding of server power management via BMC
- 5+ years of C++ coding experience in Linux applications
- Hardware debugging skills
- Knowledge of low-level protocols including I2C, PMBUS, SPI, UART, JTAG, and GPIO
- Understanding of BMC IPMI2.0 (Messaging, SDR, SEL, FRU, SOL, IPMB, LAN, KCS, etc.)
- Experience with MCTP and PLDM
- Experience porting BMC to multiple hardware platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AMI SPX/OneTree products
- Experience working on DCSCM cards
