BMC Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BMC software solutions including sensor monitors and event log WebUI
• Implement firmware functions to communicate with peripherals via SPI, I2C, and UART per protocol specifications
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high quality BMC software
• Develop and maintain design specifications, user manuals, and release notes

Requirements

• BMC product/stack software solution experience
• Understanding of server power management via BMC
• 5+ years of C++ coding experience in Linux applications
• Hardware debugging skills
• Knowledge of low-level protocols including I2C, PMBUS, SPI, UART, JTAG, and GPIO
• Understanding of BMC IPMI2.0 (Messaging, SDR, SEL, FRU, SOL, IPMB, LAN, KCS, etc.)
• Experience with MCTP and PLDM
• Experience porting BMC to multiple hardware platforms

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AMI SPX/OneTree products
• Experience working on DCSCM cards
