About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BMC software solutions including sensor monitors and event log WebUIs
- Implement firmware functions to communicate with peripherals via SPI, I2C, and UART per protocol specifications
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality BMC software
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and release notes
Requirements
- Extensive experience with BMC product/stack software solutions
- Strong understanding of server power management via BMC
- 5+ years of experience in C++ coding for Linux applications
- Proficiency in hardware debugging
- Solid knowledge of low-level protocols including I2C, PMBUS, SPI, UART, JTAG, and GPIO
- Deep understanding of BMC IPMI 2.0 (Messaging, SDR, SEL, FRU, SOL, IPMB, LAN, KCS, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with MCTP and PLDM
- Experience porting BMC to multiple hardware platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AMI SPX/OneTree products
- Experience working on DCSCM cards
