Blow Molding Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain blow molding processes to ensure quality standards and output requirements are met or exceeded
• Perform root cause analysis (5 Whys, Ishikawa) on recurring failures to reduce downtime and scrap
• Implement preventive controls and parameter adjustments to reduce scrap and machine idle time
• Monitor critical machine parameters including temperature, pressure, and cycle times using SPC and real-time monitoring software
• Support SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) activities to ensure efficient mold and product changeovers
• Provide technical support for maintenance (TPM levels 3-4), including lubrication, alignment, and component adjustment
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and Kaizen events to reduce MTTR and improve OEE
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and 5S standards
• Conduct monthly internal audits to ensure alignment with IATF 16949 standards

Requirements

• Proven experience in blow molding processes and technical troubleshooting
• Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies such as DMAIC, PDCA, and Root Cause Analysis
• Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Pareto analysis
• Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and SMED techniques
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 quality management standards
• Familiarity with safety procedures including LOTO and 5S implementation
