Blister Packaging Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate pharmaceutical packaging lines, including PLC controlled equipment and vision systems
• Set up, disassemble, and clean production equipment and facilities
• Maintain accurate and concurrent documentation, including batch records and logbooks
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
• Adhere to safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures and proper use of PPE
• Utilize material handling devices such as electric pallet jacks and hi-lifts
• Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6-12 months of relevant manufacturing experience
• Basic mechanical skills and experience using various hand tools
• Strong math skills, including the ability to apply the metric system to process calculations
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to read and interpret written and oral procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical school certificate or 1-2 years of college education
• Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with vision systems and robotic fillers
• Proficiency with Windows-based personal computer applications
