Blend Plant Operator

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and prepare liquid and dry chemical products from trucks, tankers, and railcars
• Maneuver and connect/disconnect transfer hoses and monitor loads via tank hatches
• Inspect equipment and verify products against shipping/receiving documents to report discrepancies
• Perform product sampling and quality control in coordination with lab personnel
• Maintain accurate inventory logs using computer programs and electronic scales
• Operate powered industrial lift trucks, including standing and sit-down forklifts, to transport products
• Package and repackage products into cylinders, drums, totes, and pails following regulatory requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, including immediate spill response
• Participate in ongoing safety programs, meetings, and training sessions

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or US military experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift Operator certification
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including bags, pails, boxes, and pallets
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow detailed instructions in English
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods (up to 95% of the day) and climb ladders/stairs
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical exam
• Willingness to work various shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in chemical operations
