Blaster

Responsibilities

• Stage metal parts and welded assemblies for blasting
• Operate blasting equipment to clean and prepare sheet metal surfaces
• Remove scale, rust, grease, and other materials using abrasive blasting techniques
• Inspect blasted parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Safely unload and organize cleaned parts for the next step in production
• Maintain and clean blasting equipment as needed
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe

Requirements

• 2+ years of blasting or painting experience in a commercial or industrial setting
• Experience with spray application techniques and equipment
• Familiarity with primers, epoxies, urethanes, and other industrial coatings
• Experience using blasting tools and equipment (e.g., blast pot, dust collector, recovery unit)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read work instructions and basic drawings
• Basic mechanical knowledge and math skills
