Blaster I

Responsibilities

• Operate blasting machines, sandblasting equipment, and Wheel-a-brator to prepare parts
• Utilize manufacturing tools including drill presses and table-mounted routers
• Gather all necessary materials to perform daily production tasks
• Record part counts and track elapsed work time on labor tickets
• Operate forklifts to move parts and materials as needed
• Maintain a clean work area and report equipment maintenance needs to supervisors
• Perform all tasks required of a safety-sensitive position

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Ability to wear a respirator and work in smoky or dusty environments
• Basic mathematical, communication, and reading comprehension skills
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist for prolonged periods
• Capacity to work in environments with high noise levels and extreme temperatures

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience operating a router or grinding mill
