About the role

About the Company

Aerones is a robotics-driven wind turbine maintenance company operating globally across Europe and the US. The company operates a proprietary Inspection Platform managing a large and growing fleet of turbines and blades across hundreds of clients worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Interface daily with the Operations Management Center
  • Feed quality data into weekly operational reviews and board-level reporting
  • Evaluate inspection reports and translate findings into repair recommendations
  • Define scope-of-work and provide cost estimations
  • Interpret QC data to identify failure patterns across materials, teams, and sites
  • Translate analytical findings into engineering actions

Requirements

  • Degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Composites Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 3+ years direct experience in wind turbine blade repair, inspection, or services
  • Deep technical knowledge of blade damage types (erosion, delamination, cracking, etc.) and corrective repair techniques
  • Experience with blade anomaly classification and severity assessment
  • Hands-on experience with leading edge protection materials and/or ice-phobic coatings
  • Proven experience with blade QC systems, NCR processes, and CAPA workflows
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting QC data and failure patterns

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with blade manufacturing quality processes
  • Background in material testing and qualification (mechanical, UV, adhesion)
  • Experience with Lightning Protection System (LPS) testing and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with robotic or autonomous blade inspection/repair systems
  • Rope access certification (IRATA/SPRAT)
  • Experience building QC dashboards or anomaly tracking platforms
