BIW CAD Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform 3D data construction and 2D drawing creation for automotive components
• Release documentation including 3D models, 2D drawings, Product Data (PD), and FMEA into customer systems like Enovia and 3Dexperience
• Manage Engineering Change Order (ECO) releases from Project Request to S-release and through to Start of Production (SOP)
• Manage OAS information including parts creation, ECOs, and Bill of Materials (BOM) structures

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in BIW design
• Experience with closure systems and multiple platforms from styling to NC
• Ability to layout door hinges
• Ability to check styling feasibility from an engineering perspective
• Proficiency in 2D section detail design and cross-functional cooperation with interior and exterior teams
• Knowledge of stamping, welding, and painting processes
