BISE-Student Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide research and laboratory support within the Biomedical Engineering Department
• Gather and analyze information from scientific literature to identify solutions to existing problems
• Summarize and interpret experimental data and prioritize necessary action steps
• Draft project reports and manuscripts for potential submission to peer-reviewed journals
• Assist with lab tasks including 3-D printing and programming-related activities

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior engineering major
• Basic knowledge of programming
• Proficiency in 3-D printing techniques
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Biomedical Engineering major (graduate or senior status)
• Completion of chemistry and biology courses and labs
• Completion of GU safety training
• Experience with Ansys or other simulation tools such as MATLAB
