Biotechnologist Intern - Gene

Responsibilities

• Synthesize targeted genes according to department procedures and customer requirements
• Perform molecular biology experiments including PCR, ligation transformation, plasmid construction, and quality inspection
• Record and analyze data, evaluate results, and ensure strict adherence to safety and SOP guidelines
• Independently operate experiments: gene synthesis, vector construction, gene mutation, plasmid extraction, sequence analysis, sequencing, PCR & qPCR, and reagent preparation
• Report production issues promptly and collaborate with the team to resolve them
• Ensure proper handover and preliminary analysis of unfinished experiments

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Chemistry, or related field
• Solid foundation in Molecular Biology and Cell Biology with strong experimental operation skills
• Familiarity with genetic engineering techniques such as primer design, plasmid design, PCR, restriction digestion, homologous recombination, CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, transformation, plasmid isolation, and sequence analysis (preferred)
• Resilient and able to perform under pressure with a strong sense of achievement
• Good verbal and written communication skills; team player
• Available to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, with 2 rest days that may not always fall on weekends
