Biorepository Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform cryopreservation and laboratory-related activities for biological samples with high accuracy.
• Monitor freezer, refrigerator, and room temperatures, responding to alarms according to SOPs.
• Receive, unpack, and record incoming biological specimens and associated paperwork.
• Manage inventory by scanning samples into the BSI data management system and performing quality control checks.
• Aliquot frozen specimens utilizing aseptic techniques.
• Retrieve and pull samples according to requisitions and instructions.
• Ship biological samples (dangerous and non-dangerous goods) via commercial or local couriers.
• Maintain compliance with IATA Shipping Regulations and coordinate equipment preventative maintenance.

Requirements

• Experience working as a Technician, Laboratory Assistant, or in a logistics role.
• Proven experience using inventory systems or databases.
• Eligibility to work in Germany without requiring sponsorship.
• Effective communication skills in the English language.
• Ability to work as a flexible team player in a fast-paced environment.
