Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on networked medical equipment
  • Conduct incoming inspections to verify compliance with safety standards and accuracy
  • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement medical device security protocols
  • Install, calibrate, and configure medical equipment following manufacturer instructions
  • Monitor and address hazard and safety recalls
  • Perform software repairs and updates on medical devices
  • Maintain accurate records using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Provide technical support and training to medical staff

Requirements

  • Two-year associate degree or higher in applied science or equivalent military training
  • Minimum of three years of hospital or healthcare medical equipment maintenance experience
  • Minimum of one year specialized experience in medical information systems and networking
  • Knowledge of computer virus protection, software patches, and information security tools
  • Competency with TCP/IP, HL7, networking, network security, and DICOM standards
  • Experience with VLAN configuration, IP addressing, and sub-netting
  • Ability to interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings
  • Ability to travel 10-15%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cerner electronic health record (EHR) systems and integration
