Biomedical Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain, test, and repair water treatment equipment, dialysis machines, medical equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems
• Document all maintenance, repairs, and safety checks in a timely manner
• Ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
• Perform water treatment equipment cleaning and disinfection
• Manage inventory, including restocking supplies and assisting with monthly/quarterly inventory counts
• Coordinate medical waste disposal and maintain facility cleanliness and safety
• Process water and dialysate samples according to specified procedures
• Provide customer service to patients and staff, including explaining equipment basics when requested

Requirements

• High school diploma, vocational diploma, or GED
• At least six months of experience working in a technical, industrial, or hospital setting
• Valid Driver's License and the ability to transport equipment and supplies to other facilities
• Strong problem-solving skills within a medical or healthcare environment
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and moving heavy equipment using dollies

Preferred Qualifications

• Technician training or an Associate Degree (AA) in electronics
