Biomedical Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain, test, and repair water treatment equipment, dialysis machines, medical equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems.
• Ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and documented according to manufacturer standards.
• Conduct routine safety checks, housekeeping inspections, and water treatment disinfection.
• Manage inventory by collecting supplies, assisting with ordering, and conducting monthly/quarterly inventory counts.
• Process water and dialysate samples for shipping and participate in technical QAPI activities.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff, including explaining equipment basics to patients when requested.
• Assist with medical waste disposal and building maintenance as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma, vocational diploma, or GED.
• At least six months of experience working in a technical (industrial or hospital) setting.
• Valid Driver's License and the ability to travel to other facilities to transport equipment and supplies.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to problem-solve in a healthcare environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and moving heavy equipment using dollies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technician training or an Associate Degree (AA) in electronics.
