Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical imaging equipment such as MRI, CT, and Ultrasound machines
- Document service performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal protocols
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to assess equipment performance and reliability
- Provide troubleshooting support and technical assistance for medical imaging systems
- Assist in developing and implementing equipment management programs
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices in biomedical engineering
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
Requirements
- Associate's degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with medical imaging equipment
- Strong understanding of medical imaging technologies, including MRI, CT, and Ultrasound
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO)
- Ability to successfully clear a Tier-1 (Public Trust) background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
- A valid biomedical equipment technician certification (e.g., CBET)
