Biomedical Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on medical devices
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures and document resolutions
• Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on equipment usage
• Ensure compliance with FDA and other governing body safety standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in applied science or equivalent military training
• Competency in operational verification, planned maintenance, and repair of medical equipment
• Understanding of regulatory agency requirements and ISO standards
• Familiarity with test equipment setup and application
• Ability to interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings
• Minimum of one year of hospital or healthcare maintenance experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust eligibility
