Biomedical Scientist

Responsibilities

• Process and analyse a wide range of biochemical samples using automated platforms and manual techniques
• Perform quality control procedures and maintain laboratory equipment
• Validate results and ensure compliance with UKAS and ISO 15189 standards
• Work collaboratively with clinical and laboratory staff
• Contribute to service improvements and support the training of junior team members

Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
• BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience in Biochemistry
• Proficiency in automated analysers and laboratory information systems
• Familiarity with UKAS accreditation and ISO 15189 standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
