About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform biochemical analyses and routine/specialist analytical testing
- Process and interpret patient samples to support diagnosis and treatment
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment
- Support quality assurance procedures and compliance with quality control standards
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the biochemistry laboratory
- Contribute to training and competency assessments in line with UKAS accreditation standards
Requirements
- HCPC registration
- Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
- Experience in biochemistry and biochemical analysis
- Proficiency with Abbott Alinity systems, AlinIQ AMS, and Winpath middleware
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
