About the role
Responsibilities
- Process Haemoglobinopathy samples on Tosoh G11
- Interpret and report results to support accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Provide training and competence development within Haemoglobinopathy
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Assist in the day-to-day running of the laboratory for the Ante-Natal Screening programme
- Ensure adherence to UKAS accreditation standards
Requirements
- HCPC registration
- Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
- Extensive experience in haematology and haemoglobinopathy diagnostics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
