Biomedical Scientist - Haematology and Blood Transfusion

Responsibilities

• Perform Haematology and blood transfusion analyses including full blood counts (FBC), coagulation studies, and blood film morphology
• Ensure accurate and timely results to support patient diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain high laboratory standards and troubleshoot equipment
• Ensure compliance with NHS protocols, safety regulations, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including laboratory staff and healthcare professionals

Requirements

• HCPC registration (essential)
• Relevant degree in Biomedical Science (BMS)
• Proven experience in Haematology and blood transfusion laboratory settings
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

• IBMS Specialist Diploma in Haematology or Blood Transfusion
