Biomedical Scientist Biochemistry

Responsibilities

• Perform specialist biochemical analyses and routine analytical testing
• Ensure accurate processing and interpretation of patient samples
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, including Roche systems
• Support quality assurance procedures and UKAS accreditation standards
• Assist in the day-to-day running of the biochemistry laboratory
• Conduct training and competency assessments for staff

Requirements

• HCPC registration
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Experience with Roche systems (8000, 8100, P612, Cobas Infinity) and Winpath middleware
• Proficiency in using Q pulse for quality tasks
• Extensive experience in biochemistry and biochemical analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
