About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform specialist histology procedures including tissue sample preparation, staining, and microscopic analysis
- Execute tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and immunohistochemistry
- Analyze tissue samples and assist in diagnostic procedures
- Provide technical advice to clinicians
- Maintain accurate laboratory records
- Collaborate with pathologists and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with UKAS accreditation standards
Requirements
- HCPC registration (essential)
- Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
- Extensive experience in histology and tissue analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
