Biomedical Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide service, preventive maintenance, modifications, and installations of BD Life Sciences equipment at customer sites
• Troubleshoot system failures and perform on-site customer repairs to ensure timely and effective resolutions
• Manage company assets including mobile devices, computers, tools, and inventory parts
• Establish and foster positive business relationships with customers and peers
• Perform administrative duties such as recording time worked, training, and expense reporting
• Interface regularly with the Technical Support organization to provide high-level customer support

Requirements

• Associate's degree in electrical, mechanical, or a similar engineering field
• Knowledge of Computer Networking or Computer Science
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Valid state-issued driver's license with at least 3 years of driving history
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs frequently and up to 70lbs infrequently
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time outside of the home geographic area
• Ability to work different shifts, including on-call, nights, and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a Biomed program
• Equivalent Military training
