Biomedical Equipment Technician Intern

Responsibilities

• Support the completion of preventative maintenance, Field Change Orders, and equipment installations under supervision
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving electronic, network, and mechanical issues using service manuals and specialized tools
• Deliver high-quality customer service by addressing customer needs and setting clear expectations
• Participate as an active member of the onsite work team to build technical capability and capacity
• Complete administrative duties including service work orders, documentation, and expense reports in compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electronics, Engineering, Healthcare, or a related field
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and networking theory
• Ability to work in a hospital and healthcare environment
• Ability to safely work with radiation sources and/or radioactive materials while wearing required personal protective equipment
• Interest in medical service environments or electromechanical industries

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with general biomedical equipment, such as patient monitoring, ventilators, defibrillators, or infusion pumps
• Proficiency in using various technical tools and test equipment
