Biomedical Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain, test, and repair water treatment equipment, dialysis machines, and medical/electrical systems
• Perform routine safety checks and document all maintenance and repairs according to established procedures
• Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
• Manage inventory, including restocking supplies and assisting with monthly/quarterly inventory counts
• Handle water treatment equipment cleaning, disinfecting, and medical waste disposal coordination
• Process water and dialysate samples for shipping and documentation
• Provide customer service to patients and staff, including explaining machine basics when requested

Requirements

• High school diploma, vocational diploma, or GED
• At least 6 months of experience working in a technical, industrial, or hospital setting
• Valid Driver's License and the ability to transport equipment and supplies to other facilities
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and moving heavy equipment using dollies
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills in a healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Technician training or an Associate Degree (AA) in electronics
