Biomedical Equipment Technician - Dialysis

Responsibilities

• Perform timely maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of dialysis equipment, water treatment systems, and ancillary medical devices.
• Act as an equipment "troubleshooter" to identify and resolve technical issues using company machinery and system knowledge.
• Coordinate and oversee scheduled and unscheduled repairs of the physical plant through approved vendors.
• Manage medical supply inventory by monitoring par values and performing physical inventory counts.
• Conduct water/dialysate sample collection and processing, ensuring results meet quality standards.
• Document all repair and maintenance activities in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Perform monthly Technical CQI/QAI duties, including data analysis and implementing improvement plans.
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure all regulatory and OSHA requirements are met.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of the Biomedical Technician Education Curriculum and Practicum.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Manual dexterity with the ability to use common hand tools and small power equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform active work such as bending, walking, and standing for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor Degree in electronics or biomedical technology.
• Nephrology or Biomedical Industry Technical Certifications (e.g., BONENT, CHT, NNCO, CBNT, WQA, AAMI, or CBET).
