BioMedical Equipment Laboratory Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment maintenance and calibration according to instrument manuals and schedules
• Install and perform verification/validation of new laboratory equipment
• Maintain the equipment inventory system and ensure all items are logged and labeled
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify technical problems
• Maintain on-call status for equipment repair and electronic temperature monitoring
• Coordinate with manufacturer service personnel for on-site repairs
• Manage pipet inventory and schedule verifications with outside vendors
• Document corrective and preventative actions and follow laboratory protocols
• Observe all safety guidelines and maintain clean work areas

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 2-4 years of technical, maintenance, or instrumentation experience, OR a Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field
• Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment
• Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
• Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime as needed
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills
