Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and periodic inspection on new and current medical equipment
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure equipment conforms to manufacturer literature
• Install, calibrate, and test medical devices in accordance with manufacturer standards
• Manage inventory and assets of medical equipment following VA procedures
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions
• Document all actions using the VA's electronic system

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of hospital or healthcare experience in medical equipment maintenance
• Associate degree or higher in applied science or equivalent military training
• Competency in operational verification, planned maintenance, and repair of medical equipment
• Understanding of regulatory agency requirements and ISO standards
• Familiarity with the setup and application of test equipment
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust eligibility
