About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform custom installations, repairs, and maintenance for Operating Room (OR) Integration and Ceiling-Mounted Image Guided-Surgery products
- Execute technical tasks including pulling and terminating fiber and copper cables, mounting hardware, and testing cross-compatibility
- Read and interpret site planning manuals, blueprints, A/V system flow schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Resolve complex product issues through detailed analysis and engineering troubleshooting expertise
- Communicate effectively with Project Management, Sales, and clinical end users to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Instruct team members and clinical staff on the proper maintenance of integrated equipment
- Maintain high-quality communication with both internal and external customers
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering (or IT Technology)
- If no degree, a minimum of 4 years of OR Integration installation experience is required
- Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters) and various hand tools
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders
- Willingness to travel 80% and work occasional nights or weekends
- Ability to work safely in confined areas and handle high-voltage environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of OR Integration technology and computer networks
- Experience with Healthcare Data Management, HIPAA, VNA/HIS/PACS Integration, IHE, DICOM, and HL7
- High comfort level with software, hardware troubleshooting, and complex technology systems
