Biomedical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot medical, laboratory, and simulation equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and safety testing for biomedical devices
• Ensure equipment readiness for teaching, practical sessions, examinations, and research activities
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, calibration logs, and asset documentation
• Support accreditation and audit requirements by ensuring compliance with standards
• Assist in equipment planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning processes
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for technical support
• Provide technical support and basic training to faculty, staff, and laboratory teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline
• Mandatory Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration
• Familiarity with medical, laboratory, and simulation equipment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in medical colleges, hospitals, simulation centers, or healthcare facilities
• Basic knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards
